| IN 1991, Professor Pisani began his second career at St. John's University where he teaches a variety of courses including Forensic Fire Investigation. Since professional growth was a path to tenure, he decided to use his experience as a former fire fighter and fire investigator to further develop his field of specialization and to offer professional services to attorneys involved in civil fire litigation. He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) (where he serves on the Fire Investigation Standards Committee), and the National Association of Fire Investigators where he is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) and serves on the Board of Directors. In addition, professor Pisani is a nationally recognized fire expert in the field of fire investigation. In addition, he has presented papers at national annual conferences of the National Fire Protection Association, American Academy of Forensic Sciences, National Association of Forensic Science and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has qualified as an expert witness in State and Federal Courts in the following states: NY, NJ, NH, and FL. |
